IUD Removal

Girls who have had IUDs, was it worse to get it taken out then put in? Does it hurt? I’ve had mine for about a year now and I have had BV multiple times and I think my IUD is causing it. I also have really sharp cramping pains every once in a while and it’s really uncomfortable. I want to get it taken out and go back on the pill but I’m afraid it’s going to hurt.

P.S. Has anyone else had the same problems with constant infections with their IUD?
