Endometriosis?! Doctors not taking me serious.

Veronica

Hey ladies! So I need some opinions.

For the longest time, I have been in pain. I went to loads of specialist about it. I was told they think I have IBS (Irritable Bowl Syndrome) I couldn’t use the bathroom unless I was in pain.

I also had other stuff that caused me pain that I didn’t connect for the longest time.

I had heavy extremely painful periods since I was a teenager.

I have painful sex, ovarian cysts, some that have ruptured.

So when I went to the hospital last year, my mom told me that I had endometriosis since I was a young teenager.. which I was pretty upset she hadn’t ever told me. Because I don’t remember but I also thought maybe she was just saying it.

So I look it up and I have all the symptoms.

Sooo anyways after the hospital visit. I go see my OB, and I ask her about the possibility of having endo, and she says that it sounds like that’s what I have. But we would try an IUD first to end my period and it should make my symptoms go away. This is back in December. So fast forward to now, I’m in less pain, I am using the bathroom regularly with little to no pain. But I’m having really bad pain after sex, for 2 days or so after with light spotting. The pain feels like it’s on my left vaginal wall and my right ovary. Last night my husband turned me on in the shower and we didn’t have sex but I was in pain all last night from it. Does anyone have any experience with this??

I called my doctors nurse and we set up an appointment for an ultrasound. But I’m nervous this doctor isn’t taking me very serious. The OB always is in a rush and she talks faster than a teenager talking about her boyfriend 😅 but I’d really like to have sex and not be in pain. Even after my first appointment after the birth control, I told her that my sex drive was completely gone and she dismissed me like it wasn’t a big deal.

Anyways please give me back some feedback.
