Am i in denial?
I’m 22 weeks and a few days. My doctor told me I could still get in the hot tub as long as we kept the temp at 101 or less and I get in/out often to keep my body temp low. I told him tonight “I can’t wait til she’s here and we can get in while she’s asleep (and we have the monitor).” Because right now I can’t really enjoy it.
He told me “life is over. You’re in denial if you don’t realize that. Once she’s here, any and all free time is gone. There’s no more relaxing. No more hot tub. No more tv. No more naps. It’s all over. You’ve gotta stop lying to yourself” he’s convinced that the baby will never sleep and just cry 24/7 and need constant attention.
This is our first child. I’ve helped raise a lot of my cousins and have spent more time than I could count with babies, toddlers, kids, teens, etc. my husband however, has zero experience around kids and babies except my niece who we see a handful of times each year.
Am I in denial that I can occasionally get in the hot tub or watch a show while she snoozes? Is he just being extra right now?
