Hey all. I live in a small town and know a young teenager pregnant with her 3rd child. She has given both of her other kids to her mom to raise and I’ve heard through the grapevine that she isn’t planning on keeping this child either. My husband and I have sub fertility problems due to my pcos and have talked about adoption. My question is hypothetically could I adopt her baby directly through her or would we still have to go through an agency and pay those fees? If she is 100% on board then I don’t see why she couldn’t legally sign the baby over to someone of her choosing. Any insight you have on this topic Is appreciated.
