Is he being obsessive is our relationship moving to fast?

We've been friends for about two months now but there's always been a sexual tension I think and last week we made out and I do like spending time with him and I do like him but he seems a little too attached all of a sudden and it's a total turn off for me. He tells me he likes me all the time he always says I'm beautiful and now people think we're dating because he talks about our relationship so much. It's starting to freak me out and make me not like him as much. Am I being paranoid or over reacting? Is he just being nice or is he actually being obsessive???? I'm worried because I almost want to put an end to our relationship but it just started and I don't want to make a mistake.
