At 4 days old a newborns stomach is very small. This is a chart my ibclc goes by.

Idk but at a week he was satisfied with 4oz. My son usually falls asleep while eating from the boob so he probably eats more than that but he’s 11 weeks now & from a bottle he eats 5oz sometimes 6oz.

All a breastfed baby needs is 1-1.25oz per hr.

Yes very true. As I have worked with 4 different IBCLCs. The pace feeding chart I posted is directly from my IBCLC.

Not true. I’ve even talked to a lactation specialist.

Also once baby’s stomach gets bigger with age. You need to follow this. Pace feeding a is a huge must with breastfeeding

Breastfed babies need 1-1.5 ounces an hour generally. There’s some wiggle room on that but especially in a baby that small, I’d start with smaller bottle more frequently and add more if necessary. Google pace feeding - that really helps feeding a breastfed baby.
