Welcome to the world

On April 3rd at 545 am, I gave birth to my 6.7 pound 20 inch best friendđŸ„° went in being induced on Wednesday and on Friday she was here! I was so scared and I’m a first time mom so I wasn’t sure what to expect. For all you new moms I can give you my experience hopefully it can ease your mind and give you my personal advice. I went in not wanting the epidural, ended up getting it ( I slowly realized yeaaaah my pain tolerance isn’t as high as I thought and I need it ) I got I at I think 6 cm. Unfortunately ( I have scoliosis which is why I didn’t want the epidural ) the doctor who gave me the epidural, didn’t get the right spot not once, or twice but he missed 3 times. Which was extremely painful, while having contractions. After the epidural was done, it made labor SO much easier. I will say even tho I knew it would help you not feel anything from the hips down, it’s a little scary feeling kinda paralyzed especially when you try rolling over while waiting to dilate. ANYWAYS, once I was ready to push at around 515-520, it only took me 25 min and she was heređŸ„° hands down the best experience of my life. I will say this, because of my experience with the epidural if I have any more children I will not be getting it. I’ve been in SO much pain due to them messing up, I have something called a spinal headache which is the pressure from my brain to spine because they missed isn’t balanced so when standing for too long I get in so much pain. I had some pain where the epidural was which is to be expected. All I can say is, please do your research on the epidural. Ask your hospital until what point the epidural is still an option, and try the other pain options first! If I could I wouldn’t get the epidural, for me it was worse than labor and the contractions itself. This is all MY personal experience with labor, and epidural. If you have any questions please feel free to comment below I will be as honest and helpful as I can. I’m not trying to sway anyone away from epidural, it did make labor easier. But my advice is personally do your research, and go in with an open mind.
