Newborn is throwing up blood

Hello everyone so I was induced yesterday had my baby girl at 1:45pm April 7th. She’s had several episodes where she will start choking and throw up what appears to be blood. It’s a brownish red color. Once it was more red then brown. I have mentioned it to the nurse here at the hospital and they say it’s perfectly normal and that it’s where she’s swallowed blood in my stomach. I’m just confused. I have a new nurse right now and no longer the one I’m used to and she’s been saying it’s normal. I just don’t know whether or not to believe that. Has anyone had this happen before with their newborns? How did everything turn out?
