Did you have time to shower before going to the hospital?

I’m 37w6d, first timer, and am wondering which “signal” will send me to the hospital (consistent contractions, or water breaking?)... and I’m hoping I can shower and shave before heading to the hospital 😅. I know it sounds vain or whatever but I really want to wash up one last time at home right before we gotta run out.
Did you go to the hospital due to consistent contractions you were timing, or because your water broke suddenly? And did you have time to take a shower if you’d wanted to?

With my first I woke up at 10pm to use the bathroom and noticed my water leaking. Then my contractions started and they started FAST I did not have time to shower before going to the hospital. I’ve just decided with this pregnancy I’m going to shower/shave every night before bedtime just in case. That way I’ll at least be clean if I go into labor at night again.

With my first son i had him exactly at 37 weeks, it was 2am and i got out of bed to pee and i felt a bunch of water run down my legs and kept coming out as i walked. My water didnt break but it was ruptured and j had my son 9 hours later. I didnt shower or shave before going in because obviously my son coming was more important and everyone was freaking out trying to rush me to the hospital

As a first time mum you should have enough time to jump in the shower as it’s a longer processes normally. But you can always have on at the hospital for pain relief / give yourself a wash haha x

I live over an hour from the hospital and my water broke (slowly) and I showered before coming to the hospital

My contractions were at 8 mins apart and I had my bloody show. I had time to shower and get all my stuff together. By the time I got to the hospital they were 6 minutes apart. I was very thankful I had time to shower at home since I didn’t get to shower in the hospital

With my first daughter I had time to shower and shave my legs because my water broke and contractions never started. Now with this pregnancy I just force myself to take a shower and shave my legs every other day to make sure im ready to go at any time!
