Had another scan today at 5 weeks, certain they could see a sac but nothing inside yet? Is that normal?

They said they are certain now that there is a small sac in my womb but they cannot be certain as they can't see anything inside yet. Is that normal for 5 weeks pregnant? My hcg is doubling every 48hours anyone else experience this? I had a scan last Thursday and on Tuesday gone and they seen a small uncertain sac but they were not sure it was a sac. I'm a mess with worry :'( I am exactly 5 weeks pregnant today. My hcg was 640 on monday

My doc said you only see a sac at 5 weeks or when the hcg is above 2000. Typically you don't see an embryo with heartbeat til after 6 weeks.

It's been answered already but it is totally normal. Doc told me that they can barely even see the sac at 5 weeks. But when they did my ultrasound, the tech said I was measuring 2 days smaller. They did have to do tons of hunting, though.

My dr told me you usually don't see a sac until closer to 6 weeks

I'm 5 weeks and 3 days and just had an ultrasound this morning that only showed the gestational sac and the yolk sac...but they weren't worried and said that is normal at this point. My last hcg was 4985 4 days ago.

I think you just have to wait for another ultrasound to see if the embryo is developing. At just 5 weeks, it may be too soon. By the end of the 5th week, should be able to see the yolk sac and possibly beginning of fetal pole. I know how stressful this is. Hang in there.

My HCG was only 612 yesterday at 4w 6d and 48 hrs prior it was 473. Does this mean I'm not progressing or going to lose the baby?
