Has your little one had an ear infection yet?

So my girl was a great nighttime sleeper. She was consistently sleeping 6:30-6:30 for the past two months. All of a sudden she’s been up like a newborn all night 😩 she’s tugging on one ear A LOT and seems miserable, and she falls asleep on me but the second I try to lay her flat she screams and wakes up again.
Starting to think she has an ear infection? Or maybe teething? Or a terrible terrible sleep regression?
I’m currently parenting on my own because my husband is an ICU physician assistant and is treating 15+ covid patients a day so i moved out for now to protect our baby. so I’m doing all this nighttime stuff by myself and it’s wearing me down!!

Yes. My son is doing the same thing. I called a nurse and she said it's common when they teeth, as fluid can build in their ear and irritate it. She advised to put a warm wash cloth on his ear to help decrease the pressure. If you have a walk in clinic you could always take her in to get checked as well.

Yes my daughter has had double ones and it caused her to pull her ears, sleep terribly, not eat well, have a cough, throw up, fuss, and run fever when it got bad. I didn’t notice because she has always tugged her ears and slept terribly (although she’s a better sleeper now!) so those weren’t signs I noticed as ear infection and thought she had the flu because of the cough, throwing up, and fever. But no her ears were pretty bad. I felt terrible because I never noticed. They had her on antibiotics twice a day which caused her to have major blowouts and a diaper rash just warning you if your daughter does have one and has to get prescribed antibiotics! We also gave her Motrin.

Might be. My son’s had 3 but none of them had him up at night. The first I had no idea he had an infection he was totally normal. The second he had high fevers. The third he had a bad cough. He pulls his big ole ears all the time so that’s never a helpful symptom for me lol. But either way if I were you I’d try some Tylenol and Motrin and see if that helps.

Yes my girl has had 2 and it was the same thing up crying every hour or two.. give motrin around the clock and fingers crossed you can see pediatrician to have her ears checked because it’s the worst. This is from my pediatrician for dosage.. we buy children’s motrin and use it’s chart..
