Starting out?

Hello all ♡ 
I am seeking some guidance. I have been drawn to the practices of witchcraft but am not sure where to start. Someone on another site suggested taking a "quiz" to determine what kind of witch I would be to start my journey. All of the ones I've seen online are published by magazine companies and dont seem to be legitimate (?) 
I've also heard that christian witches are a thing. I am a christian but am not devout. I've been questioning my faith for a long time but believe there is a greater presence. 
Can someone help me out and send me in the right direction towards some sites or books that could help me in my discovery?

Those quizzes are more for fun but can provide a little bit of insight. Don’t feel like you have to decide what kind of witch you are now. There are tons of paths and no need to rush into one now. The best thing you can do is start reading. Yes, there are Christian witches... however this is debated by both witches and Christians. There is a book I believe it’s called “Path of a Christian Witch”. You could look into that. Remember that not all witches are Wiccan and not all witches believe in a higher power. There is so much to learn and research. Don’t get overwhelmed trying to take everything in at once. If you are interested in learning more about Wicca, Scott Cunningham has written some good books on the subject. You could also look into books that are more about witchcraft in general. Also, if there are certain things that interest you look into that too. For example.. some witches read tarot... you could look into that. Or maybe you like crystals. Go with what feels right to you. I highly recommend “Dedication: A Witch’s Circle of Fire” by Thuri Calafia. It’s a year long course study that is geared toward Wicca but can be adapted as general study of witchcraft and paganism. This book itself has recommended readings of many other reputable books like “Aradia: Gospel of the Witches” by Charles Leland. 
Honestly the information in just the one book is sufficient to give you structure in your own journey. Last months chapter was about Ostara, this months lesson is about Beltane, the May lesson is about the God. Each chapter gives homework at the end, and often includes ethics discussions and the suggested readings in other books. 
Everything learned in this book is foundational, useful no matter what your more specific interesting and unique style are. I wish I had this book when I started learning 16 years ago.
