Electric or manual?

I have an electric Medela pump but I have to get new accessories and such. For the price of the accessory pack I've found a manual hand operated pump and I'm wondering if I should choose between one or the other or just get both? 
Moms who have breast fed, what do you recommend? Have you used both, and which did you like better?

Call your insurance company. Mine covers a new Medela or Ameda dual electric breastpump. 1 per pregnancy. Pretty awesome.

Manual pumps suck... Imo. My hands where wore out before I even got a letdown... I would definitely do electric... And a double electric pump if you can. Most insurances will pay for a new pump after each child....

I only used a manual pump with my first but mostly breastfed. It was definitely more tiring to use and took longer. With my second I had to pump exclusively because she couldn't nurse so I used a double electric medela pump and it was amazing. Definitely replacing my tubing etc to use it again with this one. Probably won't be using my manual pump often.

I'd stick to electric if you're going to be pumping a lot. What insurance do you have? I know mine covers tubing, I would just have to submit a receipt.

I had to manually pump for 2 hrs straight to fill 4 4oz bottles.. My arms and hands were so sore!

The main issue I found with manual
pumping was I just couldn't get enough milk out but I had no problem with the flow with the manual pump. Just a thought.

Okay so update, Unfortunately I'm probably the one person who's insurance doesn't cover it :( when the Healthcare Reform tool effect most companies had to include it in their plans. My plan was grandfathered in and will not cover it (yet) she said I can keep checking back and hopefully it will change for 2016. So I'm SOL until at least the end of Jan. I guess I'll just use some gift card money from my shower to get the accessory kit. 
That sucks. I got my hopes up :(
