Leaking fluid ?

Around about 7:20am when I got out of bed this morning , I had a few drops of clear fluid drop onto my foot with a little bit of white discharge mixed with it through my underwear. I had an appointment already scheduled at 9:10am so when I went there and got check, the doctor said I tested negative for fluids but there was a lot of white discharge and my cervix was still closed. Should I be concerned due to the time frame between when it happened (if there is a leak) or is this normal?
