advice about talking to bf ??

i need some advice about talking to my boyfriend about me getting tested for an STD/STI!! how would you go about this? i don’t think i have one, but everyone is saying i need to get tested and I’ve been thinking about it a lot recently! i feel like he isn’t going to take it well and it’s going to make him worry I’m sleeping around on him or something.

You’re just doing it to be safe? If so, then I don’t really see the need to tell him. I mean, you can if you want of course, it’s always good to be open. 
But if there’s a reason behind getting one, as if you feel he gave you something, then you need to tell him. 
If you feel uncomfortable, just say you’re going for a full check up.
