What happened to you when you stopped taking the pill?

I've just recently stopped taking the pill after about 5 years of taking it. The reason I stopped was because My libido started decreasing until I literally had no sex drive whatsoever (I'm 23). 

Before I stopped taking it I googled what to expect after you stop taking the pill, every single article I read stated that it could take weeks if not months to get your period again, however since I've stopped taking it my period hasn't stopped at all and it is SUPER heavy to the point in constantly getting largish blood clots (icky I know) and ridiculous cramps/pain. Just wondering if anyone else had this when they stopped taking it? Of course every woman's body reacts differently, but I'm just making sure I'm not alone? Haha
