Membrane sweep

So I’m due April 20! I’m hoping I don’t make it that long lol. Had a doctor appointment and got my membranes stripped today. From your experience, does it put you into labour?

I got it done in my first pregnancy, but when I got it done I was already in early labour because I went into active labour that same evening!

So that’s my only experience and I don’t want to keep thinking I’m going to go into labour today because I got my membranes stripped, but at the same time I’m very hopeful that it does put me into labour very soon!

Any insight from your own experience?
