Breastfeeding with toddler
So those of you who have multiple children, preferably a toddler and a infant and nursing. How do you manage to nurse with a toddler? I need some tips. We are due with baby #2 end of August and I want to try and breastfeed again. I want to make it further than I did with my first which was only about 4 months. I’m hoping by then my daughter is better with playing by herself but right now she’s so bored with her toys I have to constantly come up with new activities to do. She’s also just starting to pretend play so also hoping by then she more at that pretend play age. But wanted to get some insight on how moms do it with nursing and having a toddler running around. With my first I nursed only at the beginning and then was just pumping and I would like to do the same with the second. I liked the fact that someone else could feed her while I pumped, also gave dad opportunity to be involved more. I also liked the fact that I knew exactly how much she was getting with putting my milk in a bottle. I still feel a little lost with the whole breastfeeding thing since I didn’t last long with my first. So trying to learn more and educate myself more before round 2.
