Is My Baby Small for His Age?

Our baby had his 4 month check-up/shots today. He is breastfed and weighed in at 12 lbs 10 oz and measured 24 inches long. He is on the small side, but healthy. He is starting to wear 3-6 month clothing. Does anyone else have a tiny baby?

Baby boy born 12/17 at 7lb 2oz 19.5” was weighing 12lb 9oz and 25” at his 4 month apt on 4/14. I was concerned too but our doctor said he’s fine. I’m sort of small so she said he could be taking after me. She also said he wouldn’t be sleeping through the night so we’ll if he was really hungry. But even with the doctors reassurance I get that you may still feel unsure..

My little guy turns 4 months old tomorrow and when I weighed him at home last week he was 12.8 lbs. He was 5lbs 4oz at birth so I think he’s doing great :)

My daughter was 4 months on the 4th. She was 16 lbs and 25” today and is EBF.

It all depends on birth weight. My little girl was 6 pounds 5 ounces at birth... so 12 pounds 10 ounces would be double her birthweight. She’s not 4 months until the 21st... so I have no idea how much she weighs, but my dr told me they like to see them double their birthweight by 6 months and triple by a year.

My daughter has her 4 month check up yesterday and weighed 13lb12oz. She is wearing 0-3 month clothing. I don’t honestly think she’s small at all though. She seems so chunky.

Me! She went last Friday at 18wks and is 10lbs 7oz and 23”. She’s also EBF. Dr has no concerns, she’s in her gown growth curve. And our first daughter is also extremely petite.. as we both are as well.

My guy born on December 7th has finally hit 9 pounds 11.6 ounces

Although he was due March 4th and only weighed 2 pounds 12.2 ounces at birth.

I have a small baby girl!! At her 4 month check up she was 11lbs and 14oz and 24inches long. She petite but super active and hitting all milestones!
