Clomid for 1st baby and want another

Hello, hopeing for some answers. I was on clomid to conceive my son who is now 11 months old. It took 2 rounds to make him.

My question is when did you use clomid again to assist in conceiving your second child?

I was high risk and my specialist said we could try after baby turns 1.

My obgyn said we could conceive and start trying at 6 months. But she wouldn't prescribe clomid again unless we had been trying for a year.

I wasn't having regular periods after my son. So we have only been trying for a few months. Was hoping to be pregnant again sooner then later. Should I see another doctor or stick to the one who wants me to wait.
