Jail!! What to do??

My bf just got sent to jail for violation of probation. He didn't pay his fine in full by the deadline. Should I visit him, does he expect me to buy money on his book?? What do I do? Ive never had to deal with this before.

It doesn't sound like he's a real bad guy . I wouldn't turn my back on someone I love for not paying a fine in full . That shouldn't even be a question .

Yes...go visit!! And if it was me, I would put $ on his books. Or at least buy him a phone card through the jail.

I'm sure he expects something.. When I got arrested for a dwi my boyfriend at the time basically said he couldn't do much cause he was 2 hrs away.. My ex which is my now husband bailed me out and everything and mind you he lived 3 hrs away.. In little words I knew who was a better man and there for dropped the other guy in minutes and he was still confused as in why.. Yea so although I didn't go to jail but actions speak louder than words and I'm sure he'd appreciate every thing..

How long have you been dating? Why didn't he pay his fine by the deadline? How do you feel about it?

My SO had to deal with old legal stuff the first year we were together, because he avoided taking care of it. (turned himself in, paid fines, work project). He knows now if he gets arrested for ANY reason I'm packing my stuff, bailing him out and leaving the relationship.

If you want to go visit him and talk to him about it, you need to wait until he's been booked. That could takes hours depending on the jail. Once that's been done, you can look up his inmate information on the jails website and then visiting information.
