Can partners come in the delivery room?

I'm in the North East are partners allowed in the delivery room? I'm due in 6 weeks and iv not been told they can or they can't

I was speaking to a girl who's friend had a child there 2 weeks ago and she said your partner can bebwith you from 4cms and has to leave 2 hours after birth, but he wont be able to leave the room at all, if he goes he wont be allowed back in.

Where in the north east are you? I’m in Middlesbrough and will be giving birth in James cook university hospital. These are the most recent rules that I have seen (posted on south tees midwives Instagram account) 
Still currently allowed a birthing partner but has been reduced to only 1 person, once arrived they can’t leave and can’t swap with another person (shown below)

Different hospitals have different rules, I would call the maternity ward you are planning on giving birth at and ask them what their rules/guidelines are and go from there
