Want a boy but what if we get a girl?

I'm 8w5d today and my husband I reallllllly want a boy. We don't want to find out the gender until it's born but I'm afraid that if we have a girl, we'll be disappointed. Has anyone thought about this? This is both our first and we plan on having another after.  I know we'll love it either way but just curious how other people coped.

My hunny was all about boy until I showed him many stuff that can happen to babies clef lips, Down syndrome etc and I said we just need to pray for a healthy baby not a specific gender! Now he tells everyone just a healthy baby 😊

I really wanted a girl for my first but God had other plans. When I was told it was a boy, I was slightly disappointed for maybe 2 secs and then I was excited to explore team blue. My son is the very best thing that has ever happened to us. I cannot imagine it any other way. In fact, with this one, I want another BOY because it's been so fun and it's now all I know.

Ahh thats the glory of pregnancy and your S/O sperm they choose the sex while us cant choose anything ... I have a girl and boy in the order now expecting number 3 and i just dont care if my baby is girl or a boy just be grateful with god with what he sent you its a blessing.. Myself i could careless im waiting patiently for gender scan that long way from here.  Just remember is you husband sperm choose the sex of the baby and god bless you with what you deserve.good luck with your baby.

This is my third pregnancy, I felt the same with my first. I did get a boy, then another and it was great but this time around I'm REALLY hoping for a girl. Of course we will love and welcome our babies the same no matter the sex. I do believe however you will be a tiny tiny tiny bit disappointed. Not at first I think from experience once you go through labor and hear baby cry and see that beautiful face you will just be so happy he or she is here and healthy it won't matter and you will think, eh maybe next time. :)

I am glad a lot of moms mentioned feeling that natural disappointment so that if you do, you won't feel guilty on top of disappointed. I could only picture myself with sons, but about a year after my wedding, Target accidentally delivered the tiniest pink blankets to my house (a mis-delivered shower gift) and it made me start contemplating and appreciating what raising a girl would be like. Maybe finding out sooner would help you adjust and get excited!

I'm pregnant with our 3rd, when we found out with our second that it was another girl my partner didn't talk to me for the rest of the day, I did tell him it's his sperm that decides. This pregnancy I would love to have a boy as we have two girls but I don't want to find out the sex but my partner does as he said if it's another girl he's got time to get over the disappointment lol

I already have a 6 year old girl and she wants a baby sister so bad. I don't care either way I'll be happy with either one but I'd love to have a little girl for her. But we wanna wait til the baby is born too, I think that would be so exciting but everyone keeps telling me I need to find out so I can be better prepared. I don't know what we'll do.

I was dead set I was having a girl with my first & I did with my second I wanted a boy more than anything then to be done, well when the ultrasound tech said its a girl I literally broke down & cried (the hormones) but I wouldn't trade either of my girls for anything in the world with this baby my husband & I do want a boy so we can experience both boys & girls but as long as its healthy I'm sure we'll both be fine my husband will just be out numbered!!!

It's not going to matter what it is once it gets here. as long as it's healthy that's all you'll care about. you won't have to cope.  you'll laugh, maybe say "dang it maybe next time", and then you'll be all about that precious girl if it is a girl.  I wanted a boy really bad but we had a girl.  I wasn't upset in the least.

I have 3 boys, we found out the sex with the first 2 and decided to wait with the third. I put myself in the mind set that it was a boy, because I wouldn't be disappointed if he was a boy and never got my hopes up for that girl. Now we are on pregnancy #4 and I can't deny how much I want a girl and how heartbreaking it will be if it's another boy, but only for a moment. No matter the sex of that baby you will realize that you won't love them any less if it's a girl vs a boy. You will look at them and think, of course you are a ________, you are exactly what we wanted all along. (Even if they technically weren't)
