HELP!!

PLEASE HELP

Hi. So this isn't a joke. I tend to be gassy, and I tend to fart a lot around my bf and I can't help it. Usually guys think it's hilarious and love it when their gf is comfortable enough to fart in front of them, and he tried to find it funny for a year but now confessed he is uncomfortable. I am lactose intolerant so it is really hard for me to hold it in but he asked me to hold it in when he comes over but I think this is unfair. He said fart accidentally it's 100% okay just not on purpose. He was nice about it it just makes him uncomfortable. Is this okay?

Ps. He burps so loudly all of the time but I never tell him to "hold it in" I deal with it because I know it's natural :(
