I'm sure many moms in the third trimester are finding themselves in the same boat right now- cancelled baby showers and cancelled maternity photoshoots 😔. I know it's such a minor thing compared to everything going on in the world with Covid-19, but this is my 1st baby and I was so looking forward to celebrating that. We live on a tropical island, so I had plans with the best photographer to take the pictures at dawn on the beach in my beautiful maternity gown. But life has plans of its own, and things don't always work out the way you think they will. The whole island, like much of the rest of the world, is on a stay at home order from the government. So my husband stepped up to the plate, and took my maternity photos on my cell phone by a rubber tree in our backyard. He HATES taking pictures, but I am so grateful he did this for me without complaint and they turned out beautifully! Are they the serene beach photos I dreamed of? No. But they are somehow more beautiful to me because now they are special. My baby's dad took them and they have a special story now 💕
