Omg yes, it does NOT make your food radioactive or put radiation into your food
It’s actually better than some other methods of cooking at preserving nutrients 
Studies show that microwaves preserve nutrients like folic acid and antioxidants at a much higher rate than stovetop cooking
But if it still makes you uncomfortable, then just do not stand by it while it’s on

I don’t use one period. I think they cook food poorly and aren’t great for your health (yeah I’m a bit tinfoil hat on that one lol).

I have never heard any explanation as to why pregnant women can’t? That doesn’t make sense to me lol I’ll microwave whatever I want🤷🏼‍♀️

I don't...simply because we don't have one...leftovers for me go in the oven or on the stove, or even a toaster oven. A lot of people in my family have had cancer, which I don't know if it correlates, but I've read articles by the cdc, who and the fda that have good info as to why we shouldn't.

I never cook anything in the microwave because it takes a lot of the nutrients out. But I don’t do that even not pregnant. I use it to reheat things only.
