Long Distance Relationship?

Anyone here in a long distance relationship? Or have been in one?

I'm in a long distance relationship. It's so hard. I've never even officially met him in real life. :( But I love him so much. We've been together for nine months and have two years left to go before we can meet and live together. It's so so hard. I never knew how much it could hurt missing someone.

My boyfriend and I met in 2008 when I was 15 and he was 17. We met on Facebook which sounds super weird but it was actually really funny. There was this Facebook app thing called "are you interested" and I was on it with my best friend just to see what it was. Turns out he was on it because he had made a bet with his roommate at camp that he could get more Facebook friends in a week than his roommate could. (Stupid, I know) I was scrolling through all these pics of old men and my friend and I were dying laughing, then he came up and was actually attractive so I sent him a message. We basically said I love you for the first time after like a month of talking all day every day, then spent 4 years talking to each other. We dated other people along the way but we always had this super strong connection and we always came back to each other. Eventually we decided we had to meet so he came to see me and flew from the UK to America. I picked him up from the airport and it was the most insane experience of my life. I can't even describe how nervous I was. We talked and were exclusive for about 6 months. (Can't remember exactly) He told me that the next girl he called his girlfriend he wanted to marry. We'll be celebrating our 2 year anniversary in December and plan on getting married next fall ❤️ it's turned out really well and I'm actually happy that we did long distance. We've overcome a lot that some people never face and we've gotten to travel to a lot of different countries/cities by meeting up there to see each other.

My boyfriend and I met in 2008, when I moved to Michigan from Kentucky. We became best friends and did a LOT together. He was married and had kids and I loved them. I met a guy, we were inseparable, and I fell in love. He passed away in December of 2010 and I moved back to Kentucky. After about 2 years of being in Kentucky, we caught back up with one another and picked up where we left off- from 450 miles away. He was divorced, I was single. We started "talking" October of 2013 and started dating in August of 2014- all from our respective homes. I visited 4 times in 2014 to see him and we talked everyday- through texts and phone calls... And I made the decision in December of 2014 to move back to Michigan to live with him. Since then, I got pregnant and found out in May we were expecting! I'm the happiest I have ever been- even if I do want to strangle him some days. But he is still my best friend and I couldn't ask for better ❤️

My boyfriend and I live 2 hours away from eachother and we spend every penny we have seeing eachother at least every 2 months. It's very difficult. He lives with sisters who are horrible people and they hate me (for absolutely no reason - I'm shy and quiet and never said a word to them) and my mum hates my boyfriend, so we can never go into eachothers house. It's a very complicated and difficult relationship but we try our very hardest to make it work. 1 year and a half later, we're still together strong, missing one another dearly and trying to get over the fact our next time meeting eachother is after Christmas. 😔

I've been in a long distance relationship for almost 4 years. We started dating our senior year of high school. Then I went to college in Maryland, while he stayed home and went to college in Texas. 
Our freshman year was the toughest. Lots of fights and misunderstandings. I am so proud at how far we've come, though. I think being in a LDR, where we only saw each other for holiday breaks, was actually really good for us. We're able to communicate a lot better. And even though we've definitely changed from how we were in high school, it was good to be independent and grow for ourselves, and we continue to adapt and grow with each other.

I'm in long distance relationship, he lives 3h away from me , and he is working so we can't see each other soon , it's so hard ! Maybe 1 or 2 in a month 😭 i had it before it's always gross but when u like your bf and he likes u too u can tolerate!

My boyfriend right now lives about 40 minutes away and were both 17 and don't drive yet so we only see each other once a week maybe only once every two weeks and it can suck a lot sometimes but it works for us right now and I'm seeing him tomorrow :)
