So I know I’m a girl and I should know this but I’ve never had anyone to talk to about these kinds of things. But I’m 15 and have never had sex. My boyfriend wants to finger me. But can you stick fingers in yourself when nothings been in there and you still have a hymen?

So no one should make you feel bad for this. Most people actually don’t know a lot about hymens, for instance, you don’t actually break your hymen. It doesn’t cover or close up anything. It’s just a membrane that partially covers the opening of your vagina and can get micro tears in it which causes bleeding. Some people tear it by accident on a bike. Some people never bleed. In my personal experience, mine tore from fingering even though he didn’t go more than what felt like a half inch in (because I didn’t want him to finger me) and I had no idea I was bleeding. Hey hun, I will like to say your hymen actually stretches and not “broken”! (I don’t know if this helps to make it sound less scary) So if you do decide whenever you feel your ready, your hymen stretch to adjust to the size of fingers.
