Leave of absence/short term disability
Ok ladies I need some help here. I’m 29 weeks pregnant and had to leave work early by 3 months due to pregnancy complications. I’m a nurse in the healthcare field. I’m only part time and haven’t reached the 1250 hrs to qualify for FMLA. However my short term disability got approved till the baby’s due date which is early July. I’m waiting to hear back from leave management . But my question to all of you is, when the baby is born would that be short term disability again? Can someone really be on that for 6 months? I’m so confused by all this. I also want to know if my job is protected. Has anyone out there been in this situation? And did u get your job back after the baby was born? Thanks so much!!!
