I have PCOS an with the help of Clomid I have gotten positive ovulation tests 4 months in a row on cd 15 and usually start a new cycle after 30-31 days. Now due to me not being pregnant my OB has decided to switch me to Femara and do follicle scans. The first cycle on Femara, my follies only grew to 12mm and 21 day progesterone bloods showed no ovulation. I started bleeding on cd 35 (now cd1) does it count as a new cycle if i didn't ovulate?

Now this cycle I was supposed to start with Femara and Menopur combination but due to Covid lockdown in South Africa we decided to wait a month just so that we are sure we are getting income. On cd 12 I had very tiny spots of blood mixed with ewcm when I wiped and cd 13 little bit of brown spotting with ewcm when wiping.

What is this spotting? Is it possible ovulation spotting and when will possible or have ovulation occur based on spotting? Or is this just due to the PCOS. I have never have midcycle spotting before.
