New a curious...

So my boyfriend and I haven't spoken about this but I feel that since he naturally is a Dom in his day to day life already and him being in control already in the bedroom turns him on more then anything that maybe BDSM is something we could explore together to let him feel like he's in charge. Does anyone have any experience with naturally Dom type men normally being into the Dom/sub and BDSM when it come to love as well? If so how do I approach it and where do we start... Hope that makes sense this is all new to me and have been thinking on approaching him for the last 6 months or so....
