Does anyone take progesterone?

I am on progesterone and my midwife has told me to take it until 12 weeks. I am nervous to stop taking it. I know at a certain point the placenta takes over making progesterone; but I am still nervous... Anyone else have to do this?

I was put on progesterone while trying to get prego and then after because of 2MC... My doctor was testing my blood and showed it was low. He didn't take me off until 16 weeks and only after testing my blood again to make sure all was well. I am 39 weeks tomorrow.

I really really want progesterone but they won't give it here in the UK :-(. I've lost two this year and pretty sure it's low progesterone. I'm now 5 weeks 4 days but an early scan showed just a little blob, measuring around 3 weeks :-(

I would ask to get my blood tested first to see your levels my doctor says 10 weeks and will do a blood test.

I was on progesterone this pregnancy bc I had a miscarriage prior. I'm now 30 weeks! ;)

I'm on progesterone for 5 days now, I'm 5w6. My doc told me to take it until 12w too :)

I've heard some people take it until 14w because the placenta takes over between 12-14w I was told I could stop but I paid for the full amount so I figured I'd finish them off anyways.

Thanks for posting. Im a little under 11 weeks and worried my doc should have put me on progesterone. I guess it would be pointless at this point!!

I was on progesterone until 20 weeks for my own comfort after two losses. At 23 weeks now 😊
