What do you think of Alita?

Always love that name but would it be weird to name your child Alita from the Japanese cartoon and last year there was a movie Alita: battle Angel. 
I haven’t heard or meet anyone with that name yet. Would other kids or people make fun of her name?

It does sound beautiful, and I like how it seems (I haven’t seen those movies!) to come from a strong character; but maybe because I speak Spanish it reminds me of “alitas de pollo”: chicken wings. If you don’t know anyone who speaks Spanish then I think it’s fine!!

I loved that movie and so did my SO! We both agree that the name is very pretty. Have you ever talked, watched, or thought about something and then suddenly it appeared somewhere shortly after? That’s basically what happened to us, we saw a little girl at our job that was named Alita. I agree in that I don’t think by the time she’s ready for school, children would even know of this movie or the cartoon.

There used to be an old lady at our church named Miss Olita... She was incredible. She always had bags of candy that she would pass out to all the children
