Did you desire multiples before you got blessed with them?

Question

I’m Asking this because though my grandpa is a twin and my husband has twin brothers I never thought or DESIRED having multiples. I have a 10 and 6 year old and I’m 10 weeks pregnant with twins so jumping from 2 to 4 whew 😅 
Anyways.. I’ve noticed being on this board on my post as well as MANY others people ask “what did you do different?” “Did you use fertility drugs?” “Oh, I feel really sick I think it’s twins” 
I never knew there was such a fascination and desire. Anyone else notice this?

I always felt like id have twins at some point. I did desire them actually. 
But after my first i didn’t care for it.
Than the first month TTC #2 my fiancé insisted that he was going to put twins in Me. We laughed it off but  i got pregnant that month and we are having fraternal twin boys lmao 
I also had a deep feeling it was twins before the first ultrasound but tried to tell myself i was crazy 😂 
16 weeks now !

I never thought about having twins never even crossed my mind so for me it was the biggest surprise of my life. But I’m so happy with it. I love every single thing about being a momma of twins 🥰🥰

I NEVER even considered the thought that I would have multiples. I never even said "awe I want twins" or "what if I had twins". Multiples to me were like magical creatures 😂 I never in my wildest dreams thought that I would get them. I thought I would have one baby at a time, like every other person I knew. I thought multiples were so rare. Again, it never even crossed my mind as a possibility. And then... I accidentally got pregnant. First time those little swimmers met the egg ever. And I got pregnant. But the egg split. And so now I have identical twin boys who are now a year and a half old. I wouldn't change it for anything

I’m a twin and thought it would be great to have twin boys. I kept joking with my husband ‘what if there’s more than one in there!!’ And he said cut it out we only need one right now. Haha. And here I am with 5.

Yeah it seems like everyone wants twins. I never even though about twins until I found out I was having them. They do run in my family, but no one had twins in my family in about 80 years - the last ones before mine were my grandmother’s siblings. 
It is so special to have multiples, but it’s such hard work too!  I don’t really understand why people want them so badly, or more importantly, why they think there’s any way to influence their chances!

To be honest, no. I had no desire to carry twins. Singleton pregnancies were rough enough. I’m small framed and could never have seen myself carrying twins. 
But here I am! Almost 34 weeks and so so so uncomfortable. 
When thinking of twins it wasn’t the raising them part that daunted me, it was the carrying them and bribing them into this world part... 
I’ll just be happy once they’re here. 
I think my most hated comment when I tell someone I’m having twins is “oh I’m so jealous, I always wanted to have twins.” I’m like “no ya don’t, this is hell.” 😅

I never wanted twins. Used clomid and had twins lol funny how that works! Your husband having twins in his family has zero effect on you having twins, it only matters if you have twins on your side. You have to release two eggs or one of your eggs split. Men release millions of sperm but only one is used for an egg.

I never desired them until my first pregnancy...we had a vanishing twin and I when I lost baby B I was devastated. I felt like I was losing out on something. I asked and prayed when I got pregnant again to give me twins. Lord answered my prayers. 2nd pregnancy and I’m 34+3 with Di Di girls! Naturally conceived both sets of twins. Apparently I’m a hyperovulator so with that being said we are not going to try again. Our chances seem to be high to get pregnant again with twins. I definitely don’t want to go through all of this again!

Yeah I noticed it when I was pregnant with my twin girls and now that I have them people ask if they run in my family or are they natural, I never really wanted twins my husband is a identical twin and our twin girls are fraternal. It has been hard going from just having 22 month old son to having 3 kids

It never really occurred to me. My pregnancy with my twins was my first pregnancy (conceived naturally) and tbh I was just so excited to find out I was pregnant that I wasn't even thinking about twins. I was already making plans for my "baby girl" then I found out it was two and I was so excited, and later we found out it was two boys 😂 but I was still excited. I will say though, in my next 2 pregnancies I always had a big sigh of relief to only see one in the ultrasound lol. I'm expecting again and had an ultrasound at 7 weeks and was relieved to see only one again. One set of twins was enough for me, phew lol. But in all seriousness, I feel really blessed to have had that experience. To see the bond between my twins is amazing. They're so different from each other but so connected.
