What does it mean if your cervix is sitting low?

I’m not really too sure myself and need some help ladies! I came off my period a week ago. I had sex with my husband 2 days ago and could feel that his penis was hitting my cervix while in doggy position, which would mean it’s sitting low considering his penis doesn’t always hit my cervix in that position. Just wondering what it means when your cervix sits low (like if your ovulating or not/ how fertile you are that kind of thing) I was never taught about how to read my body like that so any advice is greatly appreciated!
