Regular vs irregular battle

I feel half of the TTC battle is figuring out your body's schedule. For some women that is the hardest part. I'm experiencing the opposite. AF shows the exact day glow predicts (25 day cycle), and always lasts 6 days. I always get a positive ovulation test exactly 2 weeks before the start of my next period. We have been trying for a year now, but nothing crazy serious besides ovulation tests. At what point should I give in and get a check up? And what would they be looking for?      Side note: Husband has a child from previous relationship, so I assume he isn't the issue.
