Baby always wakes up crying?

My daughter is 6 weeks old and as soon as she wakes up, she cries. Like as soon as her eyes open. She’s either eating or sleeping. She very, very rarely has awake times where she’s not crying unless she’s eating then goes to sleep then wakes up crying. Nothing can calm her down unless you feed her. We don’t know what to do because she’s gaining so much weight from all the feedings. Nothing helps calm her down, not even pacifier.
