8-9mo eating?

Hi!!!

So my son is about 8 months now and I’m not sure what to do about foods!

So I’m a single first time mom just tryna figure it out with him by my side...I don’t have many people to go to for help.

So at 7 months we started purées 2-3 times a day

But now he’s doing that thing where he watches me eat and sticks his hands in his mouth at the same time I’m feeding myself lol

Can I start with fruits and veggies as finger foods?

But how do I cook the veggies to soften them(boil?) and how often should I give it to him with purées and formula ?
