Constipation remedies?

My sweetie girl is having a hard time pooping lately. I’ve had to help her almost every time and she cries and cries and they’ve been a thick paste. She’s exclusively breastfed and I just started her on iron drops which the pharmacist said can constipate her so I’ve cut down on them a little. Ive read that I can give her apple or prune juice but I’m just not sure about that. She just seems so little still! She’s 4 1/2 mo right now. Hellllppppp!

I had to give my son prune juice, per pediatrician, since he was 2 months. 1 oz diluted with 1 oz water. Prune juice is suggested because it doesn’t have as much sugar as apple or pear juice

Try simethicone drops we used them all the time thankfully she poops on her own now.

Our ped just told us to try apple, pear, or prune just .5-1 oz twice a day and it should help in a day or two. Also belly massage in clockwise circles in a clockwise motion around the belly as well as bicycle kicks is supposed to help move things along. If cutting back on the iron doesn’t help I’d ask you doctor about it.

You should eat prunes or drink prune juice. She’ll get some of the benefit. Maybe ask her pediatrician about a probiotic? That might help??
