Advice Ladies?

A little background: 2 years in a relationship 3 years as friends, and just about 2 years ago he started taking an interest in gaming with me bc I introduced it to him.

So my boyfriend is having problems with his pinky finger going numb and I (barely coming out of some medical training) wanted to try a few assessments. He was basically showing signs of nerve compression syndrome which is highly possible to get when playing video games. I told him to take a few days off from gaming (minimum of 3 days) but he refused and wouldn't want to listen to me... I'm upset but I don't know what to do. I'm afraid it might get worse but he won't listen to reason, especially with the COVID-19 pandemic...
