Did you let your husband see your wedding dress before getting married?

I think I’d like his opinion on the dress I choose. I’m wondering what the rest of you did.

Yes, we did a first look and it was both of our favorite part of the whole day. So nice to just have a minute with the two of us.

Yes, but we eloped and didn't follow any wedding traditions lol

Yes. He even went with me to try dresses. I value his opinion and because I moved across the country, I had no friends or family to help.  We don’t believe in dumb superstitions, on it being bad luck. We have been married since 2011 and together since 2007 (13 years together). We now have 2 kids, one still has the new smell going and our relationship is great. 
To me, what ruins a marriage is lack of communication and failure to compromise not bad luck from seeing a dress. If you trust his judgement in styles/fashion go for it.

I brought my husband, mom and mil dress shopping lol I don’t see what the big deal is in showing your husband wedding dress before wedding

Nope. Neither did my dad. My husband knew is wasn’t white white though because his shirt couldn’t be white white or it would have made my dress look dirty.
