I'm on my third kid. I didn't do baby showers with any of them. And I still don't see the need to judge women who do have baby showers, of any kind. Who cares? If you don't like them, like I don't, then don't have one and don't attend other women's. But what's the point of judging them for it?

I think virtual ones are better than doing the “drive by showers” that people have been talking about.. which I think is really tacky and begging for gifts

No, especially during a time like this where we can’t even go out. It doesn’t matter if it’s your first or fourth child a baby shower is a baby shower

For me, a baby shower is about celebrating the baby, like a birthday party. It's common to bring gifts and people usually want to but I'd never ever require it. So that being said, I don't care what others do but I'd never have a virtual baby shower because it really would be for presents I feel like.

We had our shower planned and people had sent us gifts already. So we switched it to a virtual one with no expectations that people will join. We also plan to get together when this is all over.

Nothing wrong with doing a registry and sharing it with friends and family who ask you if you have one, or ask what you need. But to say, hey can't have an event but gimme something anyway. ....yeah it seems a little tacky to me

Yes if you’re doing it yourself and no one asked you to, no if you have tons of family and friends demanding you create one so that they can buy things for baby.

The purpose of a baby is shower is to get gifts to help you take care of your soon-to-be born baby. 
If you were going to have a baby shower before and couldn’t because of the virus, it is not wrong to do one online/virtually. You can still play games and interact with people so it’s not *all* presents
