Platonic male roommate probs

Av

I’m a 25 year old single woman living with one of my older brother’s friends. He’s a great guy and when we first moved in we had lots of fun. Somewhere along the way he admitted to being attracted to me - to which I turned down to not complicate things. I mean, we were working at the same place and living together with the same set of friends, usually this would be ideal, but I’m not attracted to him like that. He seemed to take that well, but then brought it up twice again a few months later. Each time same answer. I started to feel like we were playing house and decided to pull back a bit. He took that as I don’t care about him or am not inclusive towards him. I’ll admit, I’m a more reserved and shy person and definitely wear my poker face well, so I know I can be hard to read. Also with this lockdown I’ve been feeling more testy and emotional. He started to leave the room whenever I came in and ignored me or purposefully did things to annoy or make me feel bad - which he admitted to doing because he was annoyed with me. I’ve apologized over and over again for anything I didn’t do well or communicate and I constantly have to be the bigger person and ask what his deal is - he claims he’s not into me the way he originally confessed, but a part of me feels like he’s angry I rejected him and so he wants to make me feel bad. He doesn’t show signs of still liking me, but it almost feels vengeful. We’ve had a big breakthrough talk, which helped, but I still feel like we probably should not have gotten into living together in the first place. Our lease is up in 4 months and my best girl friend offered to end her lease and go in on one with me. Is it weird that I feel bad and guilty for wanting to ditch out and live with her? I know I’ll be more comfortable, but my current roommate is still a good friend of mine and I don’t want to make things more weird. Any advice in this situation would be greatly appreciated!
