Birth story

I went into labor walking through town on quite a busy day and knowing I'd be some time shopping with my partner and friends I brought my hospital booklet with me incase anything started, turned out before I was going to go home I just happened to have a show while going to the toilet, me being shocked I couldn't believe if it was or not my friend came in looking for me as I had been a while and she reassured me that I lost my plug, I phoned hospital saying that my plug come away and to expect me when I'm ready, later that evening my contractions started while I was in bed, coming on like a cramp and getting stronger at first they were only in my back but going through to the next day they changed to my tummy, I went into hospital 9am and they said I was 3cm dilated, and ended up staying the rest of the day by 5pm I was 7cm and was ready to go into the birthing centre. I wanted a water birth providing baby and everything was ok used gas and air to help (amazing stuff) and pethadine to help me relax. 8:17pm baby Jakob was born 6lb 11oz with not a scream but a quiet little moan while cuddling him :) x the best feeling in the world I have now felt and what all other mothers have gone through, it's weird to say I would go through it again. I'm soo blessed to have my little man and my partner in my life he helped me soo much and I don't know what i would do without them both now.
