In the hospital my nurse told me that the baby's mouth coming in contact with your breast will tell your body what the baby needs, this was the case person description from an article that I could find."Breastmilk can also change when your baby is sick or you are exposed to illness. In fact, researchers believe that when a baby is sick, she passes on a cue through her saliva that sends a signal to her mother’s body to produce more milk with illness-specific antibodies. Magical, right? Similarly, if the breastfeeding mother is exposed to a virus, she will produce antibodies that get passed on to the baby for protection."
Chicken pox
Just need advice from mom's ..I am a FTM , I got chicken pox 3 weeks postpartum, I was in complete isolation from the baby once we found out. Baby however developed rash yesterday night - 2 week s after her exposure, I am just scared about what to do. Pediatrician asked us to wait and see .
I am just so scared as it's my first born and just feeling so guilty to have exposed the baby .
Please let me know if any one had some experience handling a 5 week old baby with chicken pox.
