Too many eggs = lower quality?

Question

Just wanted to see what others experience was? If you had a lot of eggs retrieved, were they lower quality? I’ve read so many stories that having a lot of eggs isn’t always a good thing and end up having issues with fertilization or implantation? Was this the case for you?

I had 19 eggs, 15 mature, 13 fertilised and 7 embryos. They were all 4AA and 4AB. One was a day 6 4BC.

I had 32 eggs retrieved. 29 were mature. 21 fertilized. 12 were of quality to freeze. So I don’t believe that more eggs affect whether the quality of eggs are as good :)

I had 5, only 4 mature, only 2 fertilized and none made it to day 5 🤷🏼‍♀️

I got 35 eggs 20 fertilized and 14 made it to freeze. Almost all where 4BBs and she said they grade strictly so they are more like 4AA. I’m transferring next month and placing 2 embryos. So hopefully one sticks.

I had 16 eggs, 11 fertilized, 9 made it to day-6 freeze, 4 pgs normal with 1 inconclusive. My egg retrieval was done when I was 36, so that’s why my results weren’t great and I didn’t get many eggs. I think younger women usually have more eggs and they’re more likely to be pgs normal. I’m sure it also depends on your reason for infertility in the first place.
