He keeps falling...? Is that okay?

So my baby is one(10 months corrected) and hes still having trouble sitting up. Like he keeps falling and hitting his head on the floor due to still learning to balance himself and I was wondering how many times it's normal to fall? I feel like hes fell at least 13 times this week with today hes done it 3 times and I keep worrying about his head since we have wood floors.

We have a living room carpet and always sit him on it but it's so thin and not even soft. My mom says it's okay and he will be fine since me and my brother apparently fell a bunch of times on the floor as well but we had the floor changed when we were like 6 soooo????
