Heavy bleeding and with clotting

Hey guys, I just found out I am pregnant on thrusday with my 3rd child. I had an ob appt on Friday and he did an ultrasound which he mentioned the baby was way up hiding. He didnt mentioned whether or not it was in the uterus. He said he wanted to do blood work to see how far along I was to make sure it would look like the ultrasound. I had been having cramps and spotting brown blood. After the ultrasound I began bleeding a bit more and it was red. Later on the day I began having sharp pain and I began bleeding more and then I felt a clot come out. It was pretty big. I was very scared and I called my doctor and he said to take it easy to try to rest and if it didnt stop by today to go to the hospital. Or if I wanted to wait to see him on monday I could do so since we would have the blood results by then. I also ask if this meant that I was having a miscarriage. He said firmly that it seemed that this was most likely I was having a miscarriage.

After our conversation over the phone I had heavy bleeding with 3 more episodes of blood clots big ones. All I could do was cry. I was just laying down with my feet elevated all night and today more and it seems like the bleeding is slowly stopping.

My questions is can this be a miscarriage or could it most likely be a hematoma? My breast are still hurting I still feel nauseous.

Please any advise or encouragement will definitely be appreciated.
