Anyone else?

Anyone else freaking TF out???
I'm so excited, but I'm also scared! I've been wanting thus so long, but reality is setting in. I'm suddenly scared I'm not ready and freaking out because it's not just going to be me and my husband and anymore and when will we ever have time to ourselves again. Everything is changing and won't ever be the same. 
And now my MIL is telling me I'm gonna have to groom my nipples?? Wth? I don't understand... 
And not like I was ever super excited about my looks, but I'm scared my body will be ruined. I'm not even talking stretch marks or being fat. I'm talking about my nipples, my boobs, and my skin and all the other weird changes pregnancy brings.

I'm two months post partum. 
I had zero stretch marks. 
The skin on my stomach has  regained its elasticity and looks normal. 
I had a normal vaginal birth with epidural and nothing went amiss. I suffered some 2nd degree tears which healed within two weeks. 
I'm not exhausted, my baby sleeps and eats and my nipples are just fine. 
But my boobs are gorgeous!
You never tend to hear the stories where everything turned out just fine. But chances are, your story will turn out to be very ordinary.

I was sooo excited to be pregnant, and now nearing the second trimester it's starting to feel more real and I'm definitely grieving the loss of my "old life." We had a special summer vacation planned that got cancelled due to covid, plus a close friend's wedding and my sister in law's wedding that we were looking forward to, both postponed. I think quarantine is just making it harder for me because I can't go do the things I wanted to go before the baby comes, like travel with my husband and celebrate with friends. I think these feelings are totally normal but amplified even more during these crazy times.

I was scared when I got pregnant. I was expecting the worst. I had no morning sickness, I didn’t get any stretch marks, my pregnancy was pretty uneventful. I did get GD but I ate well and followed the doctor’s orders. I only gained 13 pounds. I was induced but that went very smoothly. I had an epidural in for 3 hours and I delivered a perfect and healthy baby girl. I had a couple tears but they healed up. I wasn’t sore after birth. I didn’t even feel like I had a baby 😂. I lost all the weight I gained at delivery. My milk took 4 days to come in but I didn’t have to supplement. I also didn’t get engorged or leak, it just came in steady. I’m 4 months postpartum and my belly is still a little bigger than before I got pregnant. The biggest surprise through the whole thing: my boobs did not get any bigger! I’m a 34G so that was very exciting for me. 
Just take one day at a time and ENJOY IT! Every pregnancy is different for each person. You have no way of knowing what it will be like until you go through it. Also, do not “groom” your nipples, that can cause serious damage. My mother in law said the same thing to me. Your body will prepare itself and baby will do everything it needs to.
