Nesting and problems with dog

Nesting has really kicked in for me. I want to purge everything and clean everything constantly. I’m starting to get frustrated with my dog because of her shedding. We keep her bathed and clean but her coat is extremely thick and it just comes out of her as she walks around. Obviously for my nesting this is driving me bananas and I find myself keeping her outside on the deck (it is covered and comfortable!) a lot. With summer coming up do you think it’s cruel to shave her? I just can’t with the shedding right now! It’s seriously giving me so much anxiety. My husband thinks it would be cruel to shave her down naked. What do you think?
